What happened?

June 24, 1964, discovery of the bodies of the June 21 1964 murders of James Chaney, Andrew Goodman and Michael Schwerner.
They were murdered on June 21 by the KKK.
They were members of Congress of Racial Equality (CORE). They had been working with the Freedom Summer campaign by attempting to register African Americans in Mississippi to vote
