Sierra Club Young Leaders Council
The application for our 2024 class of the Young Leaders Council is now live! The Young Leaders Council (YLC) equips young people (ages 18-25) with the skills and experiences needed to advocate for environmental issues they care about most. In addition to being taught by Sierra Club staff and partnering organizations, the council can expect to gain experience in planning and implementing events like lobby days, policy and issue webinars, and days of action.
Our current YLC members are working on issues ranging from food insecurity to advocating for protections against toxic gas leaks. We are excited to have the opportunity to support these efforts and the endeavors of our future YLC members.
The application is live and can be accessed at vasierra.club/ylcapp. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis through November 10th. More information can be found at our website at https://www.sierraclub.org/virginia/young-leaders-council.
